How Conversotech collects, uses and protects personal information when you use conversotech.com.

This Privacy Policy explains how Conversotech ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information collected through conversotech.com (the "Website"). If you have any questions, email us at hello@conversotech.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email address, company, phone or WhatsApp number, the service you are interested in, your estimated budget and your message.
  • Emails: anything you send to hello@conversotech.com, including CVs and attachments sent with job applications.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited, recorded in our server logs for security and to keep the Website running.
  • Analytics: if analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics and/or Plausible to understand how visitors use the Website. Google Analytics is configured to anonymise IP addresses. Plausible does not use cookies.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss a potential project.
  • To review job applications.
  • To send a confirmation email when you submit the contact form.
  • To keep the Website secure, for example by limiting repeated form submissions and blocking spam.
  • To understand which content is useful and improve the Website.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or the UAE PDPL apply, we process your information because you asked us to (to respond to your enquiry), for our legitimate interests (running and securing the Website and our business), or with your consent (analytics cookies, where required).

  • Essential cookies: used only when a team member signs in to the Website's admin area. Visitors browsing the public Website do not receive these cookies.
  • Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics if it is enabled. You can block them in your browser settings without affecting how the Website works.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Website and our business, under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms:

  • Hosting: our Website and database are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Email delivery: a transactional email provider sends contact form notifications and confirmations.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics and/or Plausible, if enabled.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public.

International transfers

We work with clients and team members across the Gulf, Europe, the United States and other regions, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

How long we keep information

  • Contact form enquiries: up to 24 months after our last communication, unless we start working together.
  • Job applications: up to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Server logs: kept for a limited period for security purposes.

Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and role-based permissions for our team, a private database that is not exposed to the internet, and rate limiting against abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw consent and request a copy of your data. To make a request, email hello@conversotech.com. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The Website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
